Sorry for not updating this flickr for quite a long time that I've been busy to get used myself in university's life. I'm currently in Kuching, Sarawak for few months now. :-)

Life's stressed as usual as I'm into Diploma in Quantity Surveying. Hopefully, I can cope everything here since I had to learn Sarawak's language, maintain my study's time and do assignments at the same time.

I miss Peninsular, especially Kuala Lumpur and my family there. I couldn't wait for 08/09/10, I'll be going back there soon. ♥

Yesterday receiving money - today giving blood. Just a little sample to check which vaccinations we need for Thailand. I've got two "punctures" as my venes tend to hide. Very well.
I'm still happy as a pig in mud though. :D

I am doing a little victory dance in the local bank.
Now, there's a little prelude to this picture. Or maybe a rather lengthy prelude.
I've not been very happy in my job for a while, searching for something more "me", which resulted in me becoming unemployed in May. My husband has only received the right to work in December after almost 2 years of living in this country, and he's currently doing a compulsory integration course, which is taking up most of his time. 2010 is all about being "our" year, taking back our independence, freedom and right to chose after a lot of forced moves and forced times apart, just owing to the fact that we are from two different countries.
A month ago we decided to move to Thailand for 6 months to do voluntary service with other migrants.
Today I received my tax return for the last 2 years. With this the government finally sort of acknowleged the fact that they had kept my husband from having an income for the last 2 years by reimbursing some of the tax I paid.

For us that means we can now afford the flights to Thailand, our health insurance for the time there and the necessary vaccinations, and can also pay back some of the money we owe. In short - freedom, choice and independence. :o)

So, a little victory dance there and then, after printing the statement, was the obvious thing to do. :o)

We're leaving in a couple of weeks and are very excited.

Tripod: The statement machine. ;o). 162/365
